Color-Blind/ Love-Focused BN4Real – Day 2

Today is Day 2 of shifting focus from divisiveness and hatred in America, images of love and hope.

As I promised yesterday, I will be sharing episode of a web series, BN4Real that I wrote and co-produced in 2009.

What is so special about today’s episode- “Til Midnight”?  Well, in today’s episode one of the Mayer siblings, Joanne, has a very difficult decision to make. The spirit of her deceased husband has been her at-home companion for years, and each anniversary she has to decide whether to let his spirit go, or to keep holding on to him.  For the first time since his passing, Joanne may be ready to finally say goodbye.

We all know how difficult it is to let go of anger, memories, hurt feelings…the list “baggage” that blocks us from peace and joy is endless.  So what will it take for America to “Let go” of the hatred that is leading to the violence that is tearing our cities apart?

I don’t have a ready answer, but I do know there will come a time when the toxic racist negativity in our society will have to be cleansed.  We need light.  We need to let go and let God.  We need love.
